Here are the two most recent assignments from the anatomy class at FAA. The teacher (Andrew Ameral) gives us a photo and we have to draw the skeleton and the muscles on top of it, on seperate sheets of tracing paper. It's kinda fun and kinda tedious. I'm learning a ton!
I'm trying to make a creature based on the one in my header. Don't really know how I'm going to use it though. I'm trying to flesh out some concept sketches for the creature to the left. Expect to see more of that soon.
A few life drawings from last year. These will benchmark for the progress that hopefully will be evident after a few months. It's all done in sight size and the poses range between 2 to 3 hours. I tend to rely a little too much on measuring tools, such as the plumb line, but that's something I'll try to work on. (Yeah right)!
Boring pose on the left one, but I'm happy with the lines :>
Girl might suffer from a "short legs" syndrome that plagues my drawings.
I am currently a student at The Florence Academy Of Art, so this blog will mainly focus on my progress through the program. Expect to see some random rants and doodles too. This is old stuff that I'm tired of looking at, but who cares :p
